Jean Klock Beach Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals

Jean Klock Beach is one of Southwestern Michigan’s hidden gems; a long, beautiful beach that rarely sees crowds. We offer kayak and paddleboard rentals to take advantage!

How does it work?

Arrive at the beach site during open hours and rent whatever equipment you and your group would like. You’ll then paddle for an hour or more and return to the same place you started when finished.

Reservations for smaller groups are not necessary or accepted. For groups of 10 or more, please request a quick quote to set up a reservation. We can handle very large groups – up to 70 people! Get more info on large group outings here.

When are you open?

Jean Klock Beach 2019 Hours (10am – 6pm est)

Closed for the 2019 season.

Please note that hours are subject to change due to weather and water conditions. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for updates and special events.

How much does it cost?

Buy hourly rental vouchers in advance and save 15%! Perfect as gifts or for yourself,
you can buy hourly kayak & paddleboard vouchers here.

What to bring?

Dress for the weather; come prepared to get a little wet from the drip of your paddle and be out in the sun. Lightweight, synthetic clothing is best. Sunglasses, sunblock, and a hat are a good idea. Your camera has a possibility of getting wet, so bring a waterproof bag. Sorry, no alcohol allowed!

Where is it located?

Jean Klock Beach kayak & paddleboard rentals are located at Jean Klock Park in Benton Harbor, Michigan (just over the bridge), just minutes from downtown St. Joseph.
