Our kayak and paddleboard staff are the heart of our waterfront locations. They bring energy, confidence, and a welcoming attitude to every shift — helping guests feel safe, excited, and ready to explore. From first-time paddlers to returning families, you’ll be the friendly face that gets them out on the water.
If you enjoy being outdoors, working as part of a supportive team, and spending your summer on the rivers and beaches of West Michigan, we’d love to meet you.
Current Openings
Kayak & Paddleboard Rental Staff – New Buffalo, St. Joseph, South Haven, and Douglas
What You’ll Do:
- Help guests check in and get ready to paddle
- Fit life jackets and hand out equipment
- Show beginners the basics (don’t worry — we’ll train you!)
- Help launch and land kayaks and paddleboards
- Keep the rental site and equipment organized
- Work as part of a fun, supportive team
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Are at least 16 years old
- Can swim and feel comfortable around water
- Like talking to people and staying active
- Don’t mind working outside and getting sandy or a little wet
- Can safely move kayaks (up to 75 lbs)
- Show up on time and work well with a team
- Have a positive attitude and good energy
- Hold CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in customer service or outdoor recreation is a plus
